MobileNoter
Since a few months I have the privilege of being a beta tester for the iPhone app MobileNoter. If you go back in time on Twitter you can see that I literally begged to be able to use this application early. Let me give you a quick overview of what it can do and how I use it. Microsoft OneNote is an amazing product. The Windows Tech guy Paul Thurrott recently mentioned that his sources inside...

Start Outlook 2010 in safe mode.
If e.g. after installing the Outlook Social Connector, your Outlook does not start, “outlook /safe” is your friend. You can then go into the Options and disable the offending Add-In.

NYTimes calls HTML5 a "video format"
Oh boy, wasn’t there anybody with a basic understanding of the matter available to proof this? http://s.nyt.com/u/tcx @NYT: that’s why your business goes down the tube! I happen to know about this topic … what shall I assume when reading about topics I do not have knowledge of? If I cannot trust your writers, editors to have their facts and terms straight, what sets you...

The keynote
No more news consumption until the keynote video pops up in the iTunes feed. This time I want to see it without knowing what is coming. Boom! ;-)

iTablet
For the record: up until now I am super satisfied with the iPhone (also as a ultra-portable tablet) and cannot fully grasp what a bigger tablet should be good for. Unless it completely replaces the notebook computer. However I can hardly wait to see what Steve and the Apple engineers came up with. The hype suggests it will be “bigger” than the iPhone. How could it?

Shadow Government (documentary) →
If the situation wouldn’t be so serious already, it would probably be funny to see the victims of the oldest form of mind control (religion) warn about the latest and greatest in enslaving and killing people. My recommendation is to watch at leat parts 1-8 of the documentary “Shadow Government” on YouTube.

Bing vs. Google iPhone Apps
Triggered by the far fetched rumors about Apple replacing the search provider default on the iPhone, I installed the Bing iPhone app. I am kind of shocked to report that I like the bing app a lot more than the google app. The search results seem to have the same quality, but the UI is a lot better. Both in terms of design and usability. Something is truely changing in Redmond.

Paul Thurrott’s link bait (it works!) … or has the man discovered sarcasm for himself? Seriously, while I do enjoy listening to his Podcast “Windows Weekly” with Leo Laporte, I am frequently shocked when taking a peek at his website. “On air” he sounds reasonable, but on his website … oh dear. Ad revenue down?
